Synchronicity or Coincidence?

For the past two months, I’ve been planning and working on the Funhouse song and trying to come up with ideas for the video. I originally wanted to go to the Texas State Fair and film some funhouse footage there, but the fair is expensive and I never got around to making the trip.
Recently, I started doing deliveries sometimes in the evenings and on weekends to earn extra money to help fund this music business. While driving around, I kept passing this really cool graffiti wall / fence in Kennedale on Old Mansfield Hwy. Every time I drove by, I told myself that one day I’d go back and get pictures and video for the Funhouse project.
Well… everything seemed to line up on Saturday, October 3rd.
My first delivery that day was to an address off Wichita Street in Fort Worth. As I drove a mile or two down the road, I saw a small carnival and immediately thought, How perfect is that? I can come back tonight and get some footage.
My second delivery was to someone named Francis on Richard Street. My father’s name is Francis, and my real name is Richard, so that was already a strange little moment. On top of that, the customer paid me $28 in cash, even though my contract settings specifically says no cash payments. I took it anyway.
On my drive home to my surprise a few guys were actively painting on the graffiti wall, which was also kind of weird as it was a rainy day. I pulled over and asked if I could film, and they were totally cool with it. I thanked the guy named Chris who helped me shoot the video on my phone and gave him $20 for his time.
Later that evening, I went back to the carnival to capture more video footage. Tickets were $4 per ride, and I still had $8 left from that earlier delivery. I bought eight $1 tickets and used them to go through the mirror room and another ride.
My point in all this is simple: the two things I had been wanting to film: a carnival, and graffiti wall - both came together on the same day. It all just fell into place and it felt magical.
In my mind, there has to be some kind of higher force that helped arrange all of this. Was it authentic synchronicity or just coincidence? 🤔
