A Season of New Beginnings
Updated: Oct 2
The past few weeks have felt like a creative whirlwind, the good kind. Releasing “Call Your Bluff” wasn’t just about putting a song into the world; became the spark for a whole wave of projects, experiments, and moments that reminded me why I make music in the first place.
The Release
On August 19, 2026, my original song “Call Your Bluff” finally stepped out into the world, and the response has been energizing. Seeing people connect with the lyrics, the vibe, and the story behind the song has been the fuel pushing everything else forward. It’s one thing to write a song but it’s another level to watch it start living its own life.
Promotion / Building the Visuals
I’ve spent a lot of time crafting videos and posts that feel authentic to the song, not just promotional pieces, but little windows into the emotion and attitude behind it. Vertical cuts, lyric moments, behind‑the‑scenes clips… each one has been a chance to experiment and find new ways to let the song breathe visually.
There’s something satisfying about watching a track evolve into a visual identity, not just an audio file. By promoting the song in this manner, new people are finding, listening and liking the videos / song.
My Own Website Launch rickkazyaka.com
The new website is officially live — a home base for everything I’m creating. Working inside the Website editor has been a deep dive into layout, design, and storytelling. The journal section is becoming a place to document the journey, not just the finished products. I will be adding more pages and content over the next few months, so check
back often or join the mailing list to get the latest updates in your inbox.
It feels good to have a space that’s mine, my corner of the internet, a place where the music, the videos, the stories, and the updates can all live together.
Play on the Porch Day - August 29, 2026
I had a great time playing guitar on Play on the Porch Day. There’s always something special about stepping outside and sharing music in its simplest, most honest form.
Moments like that remind me where music really begins - on porches, in basements, living rooms, garages, and quiet corners, passed from one person to another, shared without pretense It’s the spirit of community, connection, and creativity all rolled into one. Every time we share music, we help raise the vibration of the planet, one song at a time. playmusicontheporchday.com
